Danbury Drum Corps Wins Big in Rockland County
The Danbury Drum Corps proudly returned to the parade route on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, for the Rockland County Fireman’s Convention—our first parade since the Bridgewater Fair on August 15th. Despite the rain and loud cracks of thunder, the day was filled with incredible music, spirited competition, and exciting victories for both our corps and the fire company we proudly marched beside.
We are thrilled to share that the Danbury Drum Corps was awarded 1st Place – Best Musical Unit! In addition, our Colorguard earned 3rd Place – Best Nonfirematic Colorguard, showcasing their precision and pageantry.
The fire company we supported also had an outstanding day, taking home Best Overall and the title of Rockland County Champions. Congratulations to them on such a well-deserved win—we were honored to march alongside you.
What’s Next for the Corps
With competition season heating up, we are ready to shift gears and prepare for what’s ahead. Rehearsals resume on Wednesday, September 10th at 7:30 PM at the CWV Hall as we kick off our 99th season of music, tradition, and community spirit.
Looking ahead, we’ll be hitting the streets again next weekend with back-to-back parades in:
Brewster, NY
Orange, CT
We are grateful for the continued support of our community, alumni, and families who cheer us on every step of the way. Here’s to carrying our momentum into the rest of parade season and celebrating our 99th year in style!
