Danbury Drum Corps Scholarship Program

The Danbury Drum Corps is proud to offer a scholarship opportunity of up to $500 per year for eligible student members. This program reflects our commitment to supporting youth development through music, service, and education.
Program Overview
The scholarship is reviewed annually by the Danbury Drum Corps Officers and Board of Trustees, who assess the program’s criteria, success, and funding. Scholarships are awarded based on merit, participation, and commitment to the Corps.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Must be a high school or college student
Must be in good academic standing
Must meet all musical and performance standards
Must attend at least 65% of scheduled rehearsals
Must participate in at least 65% of performances, including concerts and parades
Scholarship Disbursement
Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the educational institution on behalf of the recipient. Funds are not distributed directly to the student.

Our Season
Performances include firemen’s parades, concerts, competitions, and special events throughout the tri-state area.
Rehearsals: September through May
Performance Season: Mid-March through October
Our Music
Our repertoire blends tradition with variety—featuring classic martial music like Billboard March and Zacatecus, alongside popular arrangements such as Late in the Evening by Paul Simon and Phantom of the Opera. We also perform high-energy, modern pieces with a brassy Latin flair, like La Pantera.
