Danbury Drum Corps Shines at Mamaroneck and Beacon Falls Parades

The Danbury Drum Corps proudly participated in two standout parades this past weekend, continuing our 2025 season with strong performances, great energy, and some well-deserved recognition.

On Friday, June 27th, we marched through the streets of Mamaroneck, NY, leading the parade for the Mamaroneck Fire Department. Known for its unpredictable weather—usually rain—this year’s Mamaroneck parade surprised us with clear skies and perfect conditions. Our color guard put on an exceptional show and was honored with 2nd Best Appearing Musical Color Guard. The crowd’s energy and support truly made it a memorable evening.

The next day, Saturday, June 28th, we traveled to Beacon Falls, CT, for a hot but spirited afternoon parade. While the sun was blazing, the route was short and sweet, and the Corps brought the same high level of performance. We were proud to be awarded 2nd Best Musical Unit, a testament to the dedication and consistency of our members. Our fire company, Middlebury, won two awards: Best Appearing in Coats and Best Ladies Auxiliary. Great job everyone!

Both events were a celebration of music, community, and teamwork. A special thank you to our members, staff, and supporters who make these weekends possible. We now have a week off to celebrate properly the 4th of July. We’re looking forward to keeping the momentum going as we march on through the season!

Stay tuned for more updates—and we’ll see you at the next parade!
