Weekend Recap: Mt. Kisco & Farmington Parades
The Danbury Drum Corps hit the streets for back-to-back parades this past weekend, bringing the heat—literally and musically.
Friday Night in Mt. Kisco, NY
We kicked things off in Mt. Kisco on Friday night. It was a hot and humid evening, but that didn’t stop the corps from putting on a strong performance. Despite the tough weather, spirits were high, and the crowd energy helped push us through a steamy night march.
Saturday in Farmington, CT
On Saturday, we made our way to Farmington for the 131st Annual Tunxis Hose Fire Department Parade. This long-running tradition brought out a huge crowd and incredible community support. We're proud to announce that the Danbury Drum Corps was awarded Best Musical Drum Corps at the event! A big thank you to the organizers and everyone who came out to cheer us on.
What’s Next
After a busy stretch of summer parades, we’ll now take a well-earned two-week break before hitting the road again for the Ulster County Volunteer Firemen’s Convention Parade in Ellenville, NY on Friday, July 26th.
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and as always—thank you for supporting the Danbury Drum Corps!
